While I was away

Hey guys! Merry Christma--....

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016! Heh heh...

Yeah I'm late! Sorry for being away from the blog for a very long time..well here's an update!

I actually made an impromptu Christmas/Thank You video..and I was mumbling AND just talking away without any proper direction..I WAS NOT PREPARED! HAHA!

On Christmas le gf and I; and friends went for Karaoke at Teo Heng in Sunway Giza..we sang and laughed real hard! Haha..it was a fun day out..ended the day nomming with a "simple" dinner at Wong Kok which is also in Sunway Giza xD

Was also busy nomming around town for the new year..ooh ooh..and we watched Star Wars Episode VII! We both enjoyed the movie! I know many don't but I'm glad mostly did because we did too!

WARNING..FOOD PORN AHEAD!

Before the movie we went to grab some brunch at Food Foundry at Section 17 PJ..we were a little early so their famous Crepe selection was limited..VERY limited..there was only Vanilla! So we ended up getting a Tiramisu..

Le Tiramisu Cake...it's gooooooood

We then got a little hungry and decided to have brunch here..and we ordered Pan Seared Butter Fish with Mango and Japanese Salsa..and goodness me..we had no idea it'll taste so good..I'm drooling as I'm typing this! HAHAHA..the butter fish was tender and juicy! The salsa mix was so goooood..and the mash potato..the fragrance is something that hits home..

For dinner..we went to Palsaik 8-Color Pork BBQ..8 Colour as in 8 different marination per pork belly (75g)

Le GF and I took the RM128 set which was meant for 2-4 pax xD

It's recommended to start from Ginseng, Wine, Pine Leaves, Garlic, Herb, Curry, Miso Paste and ending with Hot (Spicy)

I find my favourite being Herb, Pine Leaves and Garlic..

Ginseng was quite mild..

Wine had a slight tinge of red wine at the end of each bite..

Pine Leaves has a very strong aroma which is delish!

Garlic is gooood even it was just plain garlic!

Herb is very similar to those "Garlic & Herb" spice bottles used for pasta..so it's DELISH! xD

Curry was very very mild for Asian standard xP

Miso Paste wasn't very appetising..and the miso aroma was again very mild!

Hot aka Spicy...the most disappointing of the lot..not even spicy

The set also comes with a huge bowl of seafood soup which was good! The banchan aka Korean side dish that came with this sat was very..boring..HAHAHA..per person was a bowl of salad and cucumber in spicy sauce..that's it!

NEXT..ONTO my Youtube videos!

Remember the mic I bought from my previous blog post? I've started using and the Audio Log above was my first use of it..and all my other videos since then is using the new mic..let me know what you think!

Kopitiam Food!

How is it that no one reviews kopitiam food? Is it because it's too common? And it's weird for someone to take photo of the food at a kopitiam instead of a cafe? Hahaha..since I love food doesn't matter from kopitiam, stalls (market/pasar or road side), cafe to restaurants..

Anyway..today's food...

The Chicken Chop set! It includes a portion of Aglia Olio and fries for RM 11.00! I've had this before for a few times already but I did not blog about it. Plus it was over a year ago! So don't care-lah! It comes with two sauce option; mushroom or black pepper. I'm having the chicken with mushroom sauce this time around xD

Let's start off with the main dish..the last time I had this particular dish, about a year ago and it was good! But this time, they seem to have overcooked the chicken..it's tough and dry yech..the previous stall owners no where to be seen..must have trained these new guys but it didn't turn out good.

The mushroom sauce that comes with it..it's so-so at best. The mushroom fragrance is lacking. The gravy texture is good though (to my personal preference).

I'm not gonna comment on the fries-lah..it's just the typical fries you can get at a supermarket anywhere..The big surprise? Their Aglio Olio is surprisingly good..tasty! If you decide to get just the Aglio Olio, it's only RM5.50 per plate.

I've been coming to this kopitiam for 2 over years..and it's the closest and cheapest..with vast parking space. Although there are time where douchebags just decide to park by the curb even there's loads of open lots

Kopitiam: Restaurant Meng Yang 2, Kota Damansara
Stall: Western Food
Mad-Rating: 3 out of 10 (JUST because the Aglio is good!)
